Job Overview

The Director of Operations will oversee the organizational processes and operations of a rapidly growing Commercial Refrigeration and Restaurant Equipment service company. This will be an evolutionary role that expands with the growth of the company. They will need to lead the team to ensure Key Performance Indicators are achieved through the effective execution of the company standards of Quality - Urgency - Integrity - Communications - Knowledge. This position reports to the President/Owner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies that align with company objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, including logistics, customer service, and repair processes.
  • Manage budgets and financial performance, ensuring cost-effective operations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations team.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive productivity and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance cross-functional communication and processes.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement innovative solutions to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in an operations management role, preferably within the commercial/mechanical service industry.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing diverse teams.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in project management and operational tools/software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds at times.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $80,000 plus depending on experience
