Leon’s Signs seeks to fill our newly created Director of Operations/Integrator position. The Integrator will serve as the right-hand to our Visionary and function as the overall Director of Operations for the company. PURPOSE OF THE DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS/INTEGRATOR

To oversee the daily operations and profitability of Leon’s Signs. Drive People Development and Organizational Development.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports directly to and is accountable to the President/Visionary.

The following positions report directly to the Director of Operations/Integrator:

  • Production Manager
  • Installation Manager
  • Sales Manager
  • Contracted Services such as HR

JOB REQUIREMENTS

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities necessary to meet the minimum job requirements for this position.

  • Experience Required: Operations Management experience in a relevant industry and a comparable volume
  • Education Preferred: Bachelor’s degree
  • Education Preferred: Master of Business Administration
  • Education Preferred: Advanced Process improvement certification such as Lean Six Sigma Black Belt or equivalent.
  • Must possess the ability to communicate verbally and in writing fluently in English

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position will be working indoors in an office, indoors in a shop environment, and outdoors.  Conditions will range from hot, humid, dry, and cold.
  • Travel will include jobsite visits, customer sites, and regional/national networking and trade shows. The normal travel hazards will apply. Travel will be in all types of weather.
  •  The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
  •  This position is exempt and overtime premiums will not apply.
  • This position will require occasional duties outside of normal work hours.
  • This position requires passing of employment and DOT physicals.
  • A Texas Master Electrical Sign License and a Class A CDL are preferred.

AUTHORITY

  • The Director of Operations/Integrator has the authority required to successfully accomplish all the duties and responsibilities of this position.
  • The Director of Operations/Integrator has the authority to take disciplinary action with their direct reports within company guidelines, as well as assist their managers with disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • The Director of Operations/Integrator has the authority to stop the manufacturing process.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Faithfully execute the V/TO, achieving or exceeding planned objectives.
  • Lead, manage, and hold the leadership team accountable for achieving agreed-upon commitments.
  • Perform and/or supervise administrative functions including Purchasing, Payroll, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Finance, and Managerial Accounting Reports.
  • Integrate all major operating functions of the business. Ensure everyone is rowing together in the same direction.
  • Model the way, always working towards the greater good of the Company.
  • Resolve issues effectively, seeing real problems, being comfortable with conflict, calling out the problems, and solving the problems in a practical and healthy manner.
  • Ensure the Leadership Team is healthy, functional, and cohesive.
  • Ensure that everyone is truly following and adhering to the Company’s core processes and operating system with consistency.
  • Demonstrate effective project management skills.
  • Dependably demonstrate a relentless obsession with values alignment, focus, simplicity, and clarity.
  • Effectively collaborate with the President/Visionary and stay on the same page.
  • Confirm that all key messages are properly and consistently cascaded across the organization.

MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE

The Director of Operations/Integrator is performing in an acceptable manner when they accomplish the following criteria.

  • Company revenue is stable and growing.
  • Company profit is stable and growing.
  • V/TO Goals are met.
  • Organizational Checkup Scores are at goal or trending up.
  • Team Health goals are met.
