Job Title: General Manager—Arcadia Outdoors
Location: Commack, NY serving Long Island’s North Shore Compensation: $75,000 – 100,000 plus a share of net income

Arcadia Outdoors is a growing, customer-focused ‘green industry’ business dedicated to delivering high-quality outdoor services to the American homeowner. Today, the business is largely focused on residential landscaping, currently serving customers on Long Island’s north shore from Old Westbury to St. James. Our ambitious growth plan envisions expansion into irrigation, lawn care, tree services, masonry, fencing and other outdoor home services both via organic seeding and M&A. As we expand, we are looking for a highly motivated General Manager who will play a pivotal role in leading our operational team and ensuring our continued success.
Position Overview:
The General Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the business and drive our performance in key areas such as managing maintenance operations, project management, team leadership, and customer satisfaction. This is a unique opportunity for a candidate passionate about landscaping and business management, who wants to take on a leadership role with long-term growth potential. Given the constant stream of challenges and frustrations in the service industry, a level-headed and positive attitude is absolutely key for the successful candidate. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage daily operations, including staffing, scheduling and optimizing maintenance routes.
- Lead and manage landscaping projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality standards, timelines and budgets are met.
- Address and resolve employee issues, including hiring, training, and performance management.
- Source and manage materials and supplies for projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery
- Handle customer inquiries, issues, and feedback to maintain high levels of client satisfaction.
- Collaborate with the owner on strategic decisions and long-term planning.
- Assist in evaluating potential acquisition targets and lead integration initiatives post-closing
- Manage budgets and hold significant P&L responsibility, driving profitability and efficiency.
- Foster a positive work environment and uphold company values and culture.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in operations management, preferably within landscaping or a related field.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of problem-solving and driving performance.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Solid understanding of P&L management and a results-driven approach to business.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently, taking initiative in a fluid and fast-paced environment.
- Passion for landscaping, construction, or a related industry is a plus.
