Company Overview
Tower Optical has been crafting iconic outdoor binocular viewers for over 85 years. Our viewers
are fixtures at America’s most treasured landmarks—from the Empire State Building to Niagara
Falls. The business is under new ownership. As we enter a new phase of growth, we’re seeking
a hands-on General Manager to oversee daily operations and help scale & modernize the
business.
Position Summary
We are looking for a results-oriented General Manager to run the day-to-day business and
improve core operations. This is a highly operational role best suited for someone who enjoys
rolling up their sleeves to solve problems, support a small team, and keep customers happy.
Key Responsibilities
Operations & Fulfillment
Oversee service requests, part orders, shipping, and viewer installations.
Prioritize customer needs and set the schedule for the team to execute.
Ensure timely and quality completion of viewer servicing and customer repairs.
Communicate & coordinate with vendors for procurement and deliveries.
Sales & Customer Success
Team and Systems Management
Basic Financial & Reporting Duties
Qualifications
Expected compensation for this position includes a base-pay of $80,000-$120,000
commensurate with experience as well as a profit share up to $20,000 in year one. Our ambition
is to treat the general manager as an operating partner, and build towards ownership
compensation in the long term.
